Does everything I need it to do.  However after only 3 weeks the screen cracked while attaching the keyboard.  After initially being told that it was not covered I returned it for repair.  Two weeks later I was surprised with a new tablet. They did the right thing and covered it.

I bought this tablet for work.  We needed a reliable tablet with WiFi to run our Square reader.  We recently took it to our biggest event and it worked beautifully.  The size is good and I really like the detachable keyboard. It is easy to pull apart and to re-seat.   The internet and Bluetooth options work well.

great tablet for the price

The RCA Viking Pro tablet does everything I need it to. I read a lot of reviews before purchasing and that helped a lot. The reduced screen resolution in the larger RCA screen tablets was a big determining factor for me to go with the Viking Pro 10.1 screen. I also wanted the recent android OS (Marshmallow 6.0). The ports (USB, HDMI, Micro USB) are pretty much the same in all the tablets. Be sure to watch some YouTube  reviews as well.

RCA Viking Pro with WiFi 10.1

This tablet worked right out of the box.  I have been adding applications daily with no issues noted.  
The keyboard is a nice add-on, but the size will take some time to adjust to the smaller keys.  The touch pad is very sensitive, so I use a stylus for most pointing activity.
This has become my primary device for movies, music, email and internet surfing.  Battery recharge is usually good for 6 to 8 hours of use.

Viking Pro

Bought two of these because the price was the same as the Samsung Tab A, with much better reviews.  So far my only complaints are the rather tinny sounding speaker, and not enough volume for the sound system; even with headphones it is sometimes difficult to hear the audio track on movies.  Battery life is quite good at about 6 hours, enough to watch 3 movies.  Those who have complained about single side SHIFT key need to look closer--there's one on each end.  It is heavier and thicker than other 2-in-1s or tablets, but I'm not a backpacker so that isn't an issue.  I got the Android 6 rather than the 5 version because the specs were that I was getting a 2mp front and rear camera instead of a 1mp front camera.  It does not have a mini-USB charger included, but can use it.  The Microsoft programs Word, Excel, etc. work fine including with One Note compatibility.  Definitely recommended.
The ad included with this survey request shows the price as $1 less than I paid.  Ha!

Worth the investment.

Trackpad, at least on mine, requires hard taps sometimes. Touch screen also. But it's mostly very responsive and not at all slow. I don't have mine loaded with much but Kodi works fine. Movies run fine and look great. I had a Kindle Fire HD 7" first gen. I'm tired of all their bloat ware. Plus Google app store just has better selections. I will say that 10" is maybe a bit large. I bought the case for it and when all is said and done it's huge and heavy. If your considering size i might say go with the smaller one. It has the same specs for less than half the price. For kids I'd definitely get the smaller one but for maybe a student this is a great size for school and a backpack. Definitely more of a desktop unit than the smaller one. Can't go wrong buying either though.

Does what it should for the most part

I have to say it is little bit slow in response, compared to previous tablets I had. But that is expectable for these specifications. It is very good for traveling communication needs to see movie, to send and receive e-mail, to chat and browse internet, facebook twitter etc. I bought it as replacement traveling laptop, and it serve that purpose very well. Only one disadvantage, it has only one USB port. Couple years ago I bought another one in walmart for about same money, and it had 2 USB ports on each side of keyboard. Little USB Hub solves that problem easily.

Worth of money

This thing was having a lot of problems downloading.. It might be my wireless router but considering there are 4 phones, another table, 2 game systems and a computer on the same wi-fi without any issues I am thinking it is the RCA tablet that has the issues. Took 8 times to get 1 program installed off of Google store and still having some issues. Once the whole program was downloaded it ran fine but can't seem to get pictures in Google store as this thing doesn't seem to want to download it.

If you don't mind watching and re-starting downloads in google store then this is a pretty nice tablet. The keyboard connects and disconnects via magnets and makes it incredibly easy to use or not use the keyboard.

The shell of this thing is very cheap plastic.. almost seems hollow. I wouldn't want to drop it because it feels like it would crack pretty easily. Due to the way the keyboard is set up any of the regular protective cases will not work unless you stop using the keyboard. I'm sure there are specialty cases you can use at a premium price (honestly have not looked yet). 

Overall, I would not buy this if you have kids or you don't plan on taking extra care with handling this thing. Too great of a chance of possibly breaking it.. I normally don't suggest it, but maybe get the extra insurance and make sure it covers dropping the device.. still doesn't help if there is a wait time to get it back while it gets fixed.

Internet issues

Got this tablet and was very excited to get it operating. I wanted to try out all the operational parts and when I attempted to use a camera. A notice came on the screen that it was not hooked up, and read that I would have to contact their service people and had a large code number to mention.  OK not hooked up. The cameras are inside the case. How could they not be hooked up? I thought I would try and locate a driver and went to the RCA web site and tried to down load a driver. The site did not work either. Rather than mess with shipping and waiting I returned the tablet.

We bought this tablet as a Christmas gift. Out of the box everything seemed to work well, but durring the setup a firmware update was required. Shortly after the firmware update started, the tablet shut off and would not restart.  After researching online and discovering other people were having the same issue this item was returned to the store.
