The cup looks like a well designed travel mug but mostly plastic and has a very big flaw.  If you drink it without the lid get ready to find it dripping all over you, your shirt, and floor. What happens is without the lid as you sip your coffee the coffee also rolls down behind the stainless steel outer cover and out the bottom where the stainless steel and bottom plastic meet.  Not good and depending on what you are drinking I am sure you won't want to stain anything like your shirt, chair, and or carpet etc.. Not to mention if it's hot coffee/tea doesn't feel nice dripping down your chest. Otherwise using the lid, "Always", the cup is nice and tall, the main reason for buying it, and seems to keep things very warm for some time. Just wish I could drink it without the lid when I am just home relaxing.

when  hot coffee was dispersed into the mug, the outer surface became hot as well due to the plastic inner liner transferring the heat to the outside surface. Mug needs to be metal and insulated to contain heat. Will be purchasing a insulated stainless mug for hot beverages.
