Slim design compared to other similar models so it doesn't take up a lot of counter space width wise.  The reservoir is easy to access.  It takes 90 seconds to brew, but the coffee is much better tasting and way hotter than a Keurig.  When purchased, the price was $50 cheaper than the Keurig duo.  Highly recommend this coffee maker.

Stainless steel single 5 in 1 coffee maker

We had the previous model and this new and improved model has fixed many of the issues we struggled with. 

I appreciate the slimmer design which fits perfectly into our small space, also the larger water reservoir and side loading pot. I also appreciate the improved brighter touch screen and additional ice coffee setting.

 The only complaint is that the coffee is almost too hot only because we used the compostable paper pods and the hotter water especially on the bold setting steams open the pods lid.
One other thing to note is we used to get a lot of blockage in the needle, we notice the new model has a shorter needle with larger openings and the blast of air at the end is much stronger which should help with the blockage but destroys the compostable pods.

New and improved model!

This unit was purchased to replace almost the same model of coffee maker [i.e. another HB FlexBrew maker] but the deciding factor was this maker's slim profile. It fits nicely under the cabinet with a minimal width; this was important for our small condo's lack of counter space. It does make hot or cold single-serve coffee using K-pods or grounds in the reusable K-pod, and a full carafe of coffee if desired. The controls are straightforward, but it should be remembered that unplugging the maker will cancel any programming. It is supposed to shut off when brewing is done but I am never sure it actually does that. The 60oz reservoir is easy to remove but tricky as it sits on the rear of the machine and must be carefully lifted off to refill. I have had intermittent water underneath the maker, however, I am not sure if this is some small crack in the housing or something else. After a few weeks use, it is now prompting me to clean the machine; I do not understand how this is possible. The machine's polarized plug does NOT fit our ARC-fault equipped kitchen counter plugs [Code requirement for new construction] so I have to use a plug-in on-off switch; I have brought this to Hamilton Beach's attention with our previous FlexBrew maker.

An interesting coffee maker with a few quirks

Awful coffee maker. takes too long to brew a pop. is extremely loud. Keeps coffee warm automatically for 4 hours which is way too long. coffee is no good after 2 hours. im always having to remember to manually shut it off. plus the water reservoir leaks. im seriously considering returning it. would not recommend.
