I mostly bought this for my wife, as our BBQ was literally falling apart and she likes charcoal but also the convenance of gas with "just light it and it's good to go", and I was interested in trying out a smoker, so this ticked a lot of the boxes, the only thing we haven't used is the side burner on it, but i'm sure that will get used at some point, sometimes... maybe who knows :D I am very pleased with my purchase, and even managed to track down the cover for it as well.

It's super heavy, bring a friend!

It took me 2 hours to construct but once I was done I was smoking within within an hour and a 1/2 of completion. This is a really great product the baffle on top of the stack makes it really easy to control the heat. I look forward to honing in my skills

A bit difficult to put together by myself but doable. Love all the aspects of this setup. I've never used an LP grill but thought it might come in handy for a quick need. Side smoker is awesome, easy to use and works great

Everything I expected

Grill showed up in a reasonable amount of time, fairly easy to put together. No issues so far. Bought the rig for my dad for fathers day and he fell in love immediately. Best fathers day gift I've ever gotten him. Worth every penny.

Worth every penny!

I had been looking at the Longhorn and similar hybrid combos for a while, roughly 2 years. I finally decided to invest the $ for my 45th birthday and I am not disappointed at all.  I preseason the inside for 3 straight days by lightly misting fryer oil. Its inaugural smoking was pork shoulder and chuck beef.  Both recipes from the Oklahoma Joe website. Recipes range from beginner to expert and are easy to follow with great details and pictures, which is an added bonus. Both meats left everyone satisfied and jealous of my new obsession.

More then I had hoped for

Cool that it does everything... but the quality of the paint job is not super good. First time I used the charcoal, the paint from the bottom cracked and pealed... I will have to redo the paint with a better quality paint I guess. The user manual does not indicate any temperature or time to get it to a certain heat...

The reason I chose this specific grill over others was the versatility. Having one piece of equipment like this on my small patio opposed to two pieces ( a separate grill and smoker) made a difference for me, and I like having the option to grill with propane on weeknights when I don't have a ton of time, or charcoal and logs to smoke or grill on the weekends when I have more time. 
I've smoked two meals, and have grilled four thus far. The downsides to this product that I have noticed are, the temperature gages don't really work at all, and that it's going to rust quick. The thermostat on the grill side after four uses doesn't work at all, the smoker side still does, but even when they were both working, I'm not sure they were accurate as I used probes (just on the grill grates before putting the meat on) to check the temperature as well and the probes and thermostats on both sides of the grill/smoker would read temperatures 80 degrees off from each other. Considering the one side stopped working after four uses, it's hard for me to trust that the one gage that still works is accurate. After smoking my first meal on the smoker side, there was a portion of the fire box that was already starting to peel paint and rust. I understand this is going to happen eventually, but having one fire and it already has started to rust has me concerned that this grill will not last very long.

Everything I want, concerned how long it will last

I've had this combo for 3 years and I heading out today to buy a Webber. My last grill lasted 15 years and this one began to rust within the first year. I kept it covered and would touch up any rust areas with high heat paint, but it just got worse. The bottom of the smoker lost it's paint coating after a couple of uses, the inside rusted up on the walls and bottom. The lower shelf has a big hole.

Not built to last

The unit itself is well constructed and heavy duty I will give it that.  However after only a couple uses the paint started peeling and is now rusting.  The solution when I contacted service was to sand it down and paint it.  I have had it for 3 months I should not be painting it already.  And to add to it they wanted me to buy their paint, they could not even go so far as supplying a can to repair their junk.

Don't bother

I bought this grill a few years ago like many of the others who wrote a review. The gas side has completely rusted out and needs new parts welded in to use. The smoker side works great. This is a huge waste of space since it cannot be utilized properly. So many other choices when spending this kind of money.
