My 5- and 9-year-old granddaughters, love this kit. I bought they several kits of different types of material. They have made such cute bracelets, rings, and necklace for themself and friends. Helps them to been creative.

I tried this out before I give it as a gift to my friend's grand daughter. Great creative fun with wonderful bright colors!
I did start out too ambitious though! Jumped in trying to do a multi-color pattern and got confused. Started over and decided it was best to practice with the pick and loop first, just 2 colors. 
Also figured out that it's important to plan the amount of bands up front as instructed!
Looking forward to what an 8 year old comes up with! May have to get a kit for myself!

This was a birthday gift for my 10 year old and it was a hit. She made bracelets for friends and family she loves it and keeps her busy when shes bored.

This is definitely not for younger children.  My 17 yr old also has difficulty making things. If you do not want your child getting disappointed do not buy!
