This pot is a perfect size for smaller meals like stews and soup. Light weight and so far has lived up to my expectations. The handles also can lock down the lid if you are draining the water. I don't have to use any other utensils with this additional feature. It's also lightweight and easier to handle.

Love this pot, the size is perfect. The handles are large and so easy to turn when I need to lock the lid on for straining. This is my first straining pot and it's so convenient. I always need a 5 quart pot when I cook, it's the perfect size. It also cleans up really well after each use. I highly recommend this pot.

Great 5 quart pot!

Looks like a very good pasta pan with draining lid.  And good brand.  I bought it for my 28-yr-old nephew for Christmas.

This pot is great for cooking pasta or pretty much anything that has to be strained. The lid locks on so you don't have to try to juggle it while draining the water from the food.

I purchased this for my daughter has i purchased this for my daughter as a birthday present a birthday present. She told me she told me“ I love my pot.”

the copper surface is the greatest thing ever produced, in cookware. When using the proper heat, as directed, the food slips and slides, in the pot very well.

I really can't write a review since I just purchased it and received it and haven't used it but it looks good if it works good I'll let you know in a few months.

I used to have a pot like this,  %26 it was very convenient. This pot secures the lid, but doesn't instill confidence in reference to boiling water could gush out  randomly. The pot strainer  isn't really the big  problem for me. The handle on top of the lid is metal and it is hello! HOT to pick up. I am sure that the lid could have been insulated or heat proof like all my other lids in my pan pan cupboard. VERY frustrating, this is. It's almost worth it to get a different pasta pot.

I'm extremely disappointed with this purchase.  Firstly, It showed white marks in a few places the 1st time I used it for mashed potatoes; this is false advertising as it states non stick.  Secondly, the small drain holes on the lid are not small enough - some pasta slips through.  Thirdly, I received the blue pot instead of the one I ordered.  Don't buy this Gotham Steel 5 Qt Pasta Pot, the quality just doesn't stand up as advertised.
