Can be quick, but may require time and effort.

Can be robust, but also prone to fragility in certain parts.

I was searching for a tv stand that was tall and would fit a 60 inch flat screen under $300. This fit the bill. It was packed very securely with no damage to any of the pieces. All the parts were there. Took about an hour to put together. The color is exactly as pictured. There is good storage room and all my components fit into the center shelves. It's solid wood and a good value.

This is a well designed unit, quality finish and is solid wood. It was well packaged so as to avoid damage in shipping. I'm happy with the unit, instructions were clear, time to assemble was about 2 1/2 hours. Everything went together well. The only thing you need to be careful of is do not over tighten the cam nuts, they will break.

I love the Carlton TV stand! The finish is nice and dark, I really like the antique looking knobs. There is plenty of storage. And extra shelves that can moved around to suit your needs. My favorite thing about this is that it's made of wood! Most of the TV stands that I was seeing were manufactured wood and veneer. It was a little time consuming to put together, but it wasn't difficult. And all the pieces fit together the way they should. The wood is a little soft, so be careful when building it. Don't bump the pieces together or you'll end up with divots. That's my only concern with this TV stand. 
I am very happy with it. I think it's a beautiful piece of furniture and it fits my 55inch tv well.

I purchased this item online and picked up from local store.  I could not believe the amount of additional work required for this media console. Holes had to be drilled for the front doors to stay attached and the rear  required drilling for the three panels to fit in place.  Also the top part of the console is not very sturdy especially when you move it.  I guess the manufacturer forgot to install holes to secure it to the other pieces.  My brother assisted with putting this together as it was very time consuming due to the flaws encountered.  However, it still looks nice as I do not feel like replacing considering the effort put forth.

This is the biggest piece of garbage I have ever purchased.  One piece was broken upon arrival, another piece broke when I was putting it together.  It's getting ready to go back to Wal Mart.
