[Employee of walmartcanada] Purchased for Xmas and arrived a week before said ship date. Product arrived in excellent condition well packed. Kids love these Zoomer kitty's and are a really awesome toy that provides hours of fun!

Fast service

We received a Zoomer Kitty free from BzzAgent for an honest review. My daughters, 11, 8 and 6 were really excited when this Kitty arrived. We already have the Zoomer Dino, so we knew we were in for a treat.
The Kitty arrived well secured in its package. It took my husband a few minutes to get it out of the box. Other than snapping the tail on, there was no assembly required. The Kitty comes with an instruction manual, a toy and a charging cable. The Kitty came already charged, which was great because we could play with her right away. (Note, this is a gender neutral toy, but in our house, it quickly became a girl Kitty).
The Kitty has sensors in her eyes, touch sensors on her forehead, ears and cheeks and a button on her back that changes her mood. Her eyes turn different colors depending on her mood. She will play, cuddle, pounce, sing, dance, purr, hiss and follow you. She sings Three Blind Mice, plays a catchy tune and sometimes barks like a dog. If her eyes are dark blue, she'll follow you around the house. She also tips back on her back legs and zooms forward.
We let her play with the Zoomer Dino and she followed him around for a little while, which the kids thought was really funny. She's a pretty tough little toy. She's been carried off by our Australian Shepherd more than once, and is no worse for wear. The charge lasts about 20-30 minutes, about as long as the attention span of the kids. By the time she's out of battery, they're ready to do something else anyway. She works well on tile, throw rugs and regular carpet.
She's much more interactive (in my opinion) than the Zoomer Dino, which has a remote control and can be driven wherever you want it to go. Zoomer Kitty does a lot on her own and is fully of surprises. She's funny to watch. It's a fairly noisy toy, but not in an annoying way. The music is catchy and the sounds are cute, so I'm okay with the kids playing with her in the living room (some toys get banished to their rooms).
The Zoomer Kitty isn't cheap. Price is relative, but I'd say she's worth what they're charging. We would get a toy like this for a birthday (which we did with Zoomer Dino). I'm a realist and I know that toys like this don't' get played with every day for months and months. In a multi-kid household, she'll get a fair amount of use though. She's been played with quite a bit over the last couple weeks. If you have more than one kid, I recommend setting a timer to keep the arguing about whose turn it is to a minimum!

Great Little Kitty!

I received Zoomer Kitty from BzzAgent as part of a promotional campaign and am asked to review honestly. My boys have Zoomer Dogs and love them. They have had them for over 6 months and still play with them regularly. They were very excited to see the Zoomer Kitty arrive (excellent packaging, by the way). However, I saved this one for my 7 yo. niece to play with-- since she hasn't had the experience. It was love at first sight. The Kitty is actually easier to train, responds to commands very well. My niece loves how the the kitty follows her around, purrs, dances and performs tricks. The kitty comes with a cat toy that she will follow and play with-- much like a real cat. You do have to charge Kitty for about an hour and get half an hour of play-- this was frustrating for my niece at first--but it teaches patience, right? All in all, the Zoomers are a hit for both boys and girls.

A Charmer

I received Zoomer Kitty from Bzzagent for review and product testing. Once we received the kitty, my three children (son, 8 and 2 daughters, 7) ripped open the box to see what it was about. They had a friend over that day and all went out to our back porch to start playing with the kitty. Why would they swim in the pool on a 90 degree day with friends over when there was a zoomer kitty around?!?! The kitty was responsive to the kids and would “play” with them by rolling back and forth when sensing them. The kitty also breakdances, and my favorite is that it purrs when you hold it and rub it's ears! We've had the zoomer kitty for a couple weeks and it still hasn't been forgotten about. It's easy and quick to charge, and gets played with on commands. It's a great toy for any kids probably 5 and up! There are a few negatives about it, like the proximity you need to be in order for it to recognize you and the battery doesn't last forever, but overall I give it a thumbs up!

my favorite is that it purrs

I was provided Zoomer Kitty in exchange for my honest opinion. Overall I am very impressed. My kids have been asking for a cat but my husband is severely allergic so this was a fun alternative. The battery life is fair, you get about 30 min of play off a full charge, but seems to match fairly well with my childrens interest in the product and it recharges very quickly. It comes with a USB charging cable, but if you want to plug in to the wall rather than your computer you must provide that adapter yourself which for this price I do feel a wall adapter should be included She is much more interactive than I expected she could be, she really does follow our movements and allows for a truly playful experience between the kitty and my 4 year old. My 9 year old hasn't really played with it much since day 1 and the 6 year old, who was really excited, hasn't been that impressed. My 4 year old continues to look forward to daily playing with the kitty even after 10+ days. I'm very pleased.

I am a member of BzzAgent and was lucky enough to receive this toy as part of a campaign. I have two kids, a 7 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. They were both very excited to open the package and start playing. They were both able to easily figure out what to do to get the toy to play in each mode (auto, play, cuddle, pounce, tricks). My 2 year old really loves the "kitty cat" as he calls it and enjoys having it do tricks. My 7 year old enjoys putting the cat in cuddle mode and treat it like a baby. I actually enjoyed playing with it to. I haven't quite mastered getting the cat to respond to the ball toy. The cat charges with a USB cable that is included and takes about an hour to charge. However, you only get about 20-30 minutes of play out of each charge. The first day we had it out of the box we plugged it in to charge about 4 times because it would run out very quickly. Honestly, that's the only negative I have, except it's glowing eyes are a little creepy if it's plugged in in a dark room. :-)

Great toy!

Expectations were high for me as a tech geek and my 5 and 7 year olds (one boy one girl). The kids were excited as they've always wanted a "pet", and I was playing them videos of the Sony Aibo (which obviosly was an order of magnitude more expensive, but also a decade ago) and other such robotic pets. Out of the box, the cat was partially charged. We let it charge while we read through the 12 page instruction manual. When Zoomer was first turned on, it just sat there and we scratched our heads. Evidently, and the manual doesn't say this, you have to press the button on its back after turning the power to On. Once you hit the back button, Zoomer's eyes turn green and immediately defaults to "Auto" mode. There are four modes:
-Auto - Green eyes. Does random things and will react to you should you interact with one of its sensors (IR sensors in eye, touch sensors in cheek and forehead)
-Play mode - Blue eyes. Lively and playful. It goes into this mode when you wave your hand or the included plastic ball on a string toy that comes in the box.
-Cuddle mode - Pink eyes (more like clear or very washed out purple) - stops moving and waits for you to pet it. If left unattended, will purr and make noise.
-Pounce mode - Yellow eyes. Zoomer moved backwards about a foot and then lunges forward very quickly.

We've been playing with Zoomer about a week now.
-Auto mode is just the launching mode. It just moves around the room and does random things like sing or bark. Mostly, it kept getting stuck hitting furniture even though we had quite a large open space for the toy to roam around.
-In play mode, you have to get pretty close to the toy. Its IR sensors only work from a distance of about 6 inches. Anything more than that won't be detected. So, you could wave your hand in front of the toy, and its head will follow you left and right and left and right. If you move slowly backwards, it will follow you. Same goes for the plastic ball on a string. The manual says that it is specialized for Zoomer but I didn't really notice that it doesn't anything. Just feels like a large ping pong attached to a string. The cat follows the ball just as it does your hand. This mode was novel for the kids for maybe the first two days.
-In cuddle mode, Zoomer stops moving and purrs to ask you to pet it. There are touch sensors on either cheek and also at the top of its head. They're all inside the toy though with no delineation between a sensor and regular plastic, so you're essentially just rubbing smooth plastic. The kitten purrs and there's some vibrating feedback though if you're petting the sensors at the correct rate (not too fast). Overall, this is ok, but just seems weird petting a piece of smooth plastic. Perhaps if it were furry, the sensation might feel less "generic".
-Pounce mode is probably the most fun. Zoomer winds itself up and then rolls forward. Sometimes on just the two hind legs.

Continuously pressing the buttons on its back cycles through a bunch of different things as well like singing, prancing, wiggling, pouncing, etc.

The modes were very confusing at first. I couldn't tell how to get from one mode to the other. The manual comes with a cheat sheet but you quickly learn after that : to enter play mode, you must wave something in front of Zoomer's eyes. For cuddle mode, you must pet Zoomer. To enter pounce mode, you must either cycle through the various back button tricks/modes (there are 12) or else, just hold down the button for 3 seconds until the eyes turn Yellow.

Overall, this is a toy cat not a real cat (duh). If you remember that, you and your younger children (thinking <5) may enjoy this toy. I wish that it had some voice sensors to respond to, so that it could come to where you are and then perform its tricks (eg if only it knew where its ball is, it can entertain itself, and thus you). In reality, the auto mode just had this kitten bouncing around furniture and walls. It will also fall down stairs so be careful where you play the toy in auto mode. For a ~$100 toy, it does what its supposed to if you are properly engaged with it, ie. sitting 1 foot away and focusing all attention on it. However, its tricks do get old quickly. You can only have it follow your hand around or around the room so many times. You will pet it, and it will be cute, but you will stop after a few minutes. It's just ok.

The good:
-Charges quickly: I used a 2.1A/12W tablet charger with the supplied mini-usb cable and Zoomer fully charges in less than 20 minutes. Instructions indicate 1 hour charging via the usb port on your computer. A power adapter is not supplied with the toy. The eyes light up red while charging, and turn to green when fully charged. Kinda cool, but could be kinda scary for kids when left on overnight in the dark.
-Long playtime: We've gotten in a good 30-40 mins of play without depleting the battery. The eyes are supposed to turn red when the battery is exhausted, but my 5 and 7 year olds are well past done with the toy by then and have moved on.
-Quality: This is a well made toy. Feels substantial. It's just under a foot long with its tail attached, and weights about two pounds. It's finished in a high gloss plastic, but doesn't feel cheap at all. It's got good articulation, its front arms pivot at the elbow and shoulder for both the front and hind legs. It's front arms also swing side to side about 45 degrees in each direction as does its hind quarter, allowing Zoomer to twist. The tail also moves side to side in alignment with its head.

The meh:
-Gets old fast. It may have better replay value for younger kids, but my 5 and 7 year olds are done with it after just a week.

Fun, ... but gets old fast for 5+

I have two children and the youngest was very excited to play with KItty. She charged and was read for play. When her older sister came downstairs, she also played withe her for quite awhile. She has several modes that are signaled by eye color, which made it very easy for my 6 year old to understand her modes. Unfortunately, she needs frequent charging which is disappointing to kids.

This toy is pretty cool with the technology it has. It was fun even for me to watch it chase it's toy and to purr when you pet her head or back. I was a little disappointed that my daughter only played with it for a day, lost interest and now my $70 purchase is gathering dust :(

Short-lived fun

for the price of the product you would expect it do a little more! The battery does not last long and there is no volume control! So it can be a little annoying!
