I bought a Samsung Q60T 55" TV and it tore up within two weeks of buying it, so I ordered the 50" TLC 5 Series from Walmart.  I received it fairly quickly, opened it up and set it up in my living room. I turned the TV on and was pleasantly surprised at the depth of color and beautiful picture of the TV.  I wasn't expecting it to perform better than the more expensive Samsung Q60T.   Overall I rate it 5 stars although I do wish it had more features such as Bluetooth.

This is proving to be a better than expected television. For a modestly priced unit the picture is superb. What has proven to be a major surprise is the quality of the black and white shows.  This set enhances the crispness of the picture to a noticeable degree. It goes without saying that the color renderings are equally impressive.  The set was very straight forward to install. As of now I haven't felt the need to tweek the picture from the out of box settings. That is a first for me. The only change I made is to alter what input is displayed when the set is powered on. We have fios and I wanted to have that input displayed at power on. It was a simple change. I am new to the qled technology, but based on what I see here that is a step up in picture quality. I have had Vizios in recent years, including a 70 inch M class. This TCL has a better picture than the other sets in the house.  I highly recommend this set.

Lot of bang for the buck

Great TV! Set up was super easy, the picture quality is very good, and it even has a low latency mode that auto switches on for video games. And your voice assistant can turn it off! I had an older LCD TV and the difference was shocking when I watched a movie and played some games. For the money it's a fabulous TV.

Great TV, great value.

Great TV for the price, would be worth it even if it wasn't on sale. I got this primarily for gaming with a PS5, and let me tell you, the game mode makes a HUGE difference. Very little if any screen lag and all the different colors are super vibrant. Clear picture and great refresh rate. If you're like me and have been wanting a QLED but can't afford to spend over a grand on a TV, this is the TV for you. If streaming is more your thing rather than gaming the Roku options are fantastic. You can customize your home screen to put any app in any order you choose. Set up was quick and easy and because the tv is so light I didn't even need to get a new wall mount(although you may wanna make sure you have extra screw sizes and spacers) in my opinion TCL makes the very best budget tv on the market. Do not go with one of these even cheaper brand Roku tvs.  Even if you're not looking for a QLED, TCL makes great a regular led and has 1080p and regular 4k(2160) HDR tvs that are priced well and good quality. I highly recommend this tv if you're in the market for a new one, or if you're looking to buy this as a gift.

This TV is worth it. Gaming or streaming.

My 10-year-old 720p Insignia TV finally bit it, and I wanted a 4k smart TV that looked good but also looked better in my bright room with two large windows and a glass door exactly opposite the screen.  After lots of research that pointed to either a TV that cost 3X more than I wanted to spend or one in my budget that couldn't handle glare, I saw this new TCL model with QLED at a price I liked. There wasn't a single review from buyers or experts, but I took a chance. Love this TV.  Yes, you can see a reflection if you look for it, but it doesn't stand out at all. The picture is great, and I already had Roku, so that was seamless. It connected easily to all peripherals. The sound is just okay, but that's not an issue for me since I use a soundbar. For the price of this TV, I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Great-looking TV in my bright room

Great brights and deep blacks. I had the old 5 series and upgraded to the 2020 model and the difference is plain to see. The low latency is great for gamers.

5 series upgrade

Recently bought a TCL 65" Series 5 QLED TV. Was so impressed bought a 50" for bedroom. Picture quality is awesome, but the motion rate was what impressed me the most. I've had Roku items before but the quality is far above anything Roku ive had before.

Great Roku 50" TCL QLED TV

This Tv is good for the middle if you want a 4k TV at 60hz the color is ok too way better then the 4 series including brightness i got this for my PS5 but if you have a a couple extra more to spend I suggest get the 6 series that's the perfect TV for your buck and has 120hz but over all this is a good TV if your looking for something in the middle

Decent TV

TV has beautiful picture. Does not work well with Sony home theater. If theater plugged into tv, sound jumps by multiples of 3. Called tech support and they were very nice and helpful troubleshooting the issue. Support applied a software update and I lost sound mode that allows commercials not be loud. The same volume as the show you are watching. Have fast start on for tv and theater, after working with support when tv is initially turned on, it is extremely loud then blinks and volume returns to normal. TV sound is very good though.

Issues with Sony home theater

Only had this TV a couple days and so far , so good. Only negative I have found so far is changing channels on broadcast television. There is no numeric keypad on the remote so you have to use the up and down keys to get to your channel. In other words if you want to go from 2 to 32 you have to operate the up key 30 times. It is a pain, the only other option I can see is to bring up the program list and scroll to the station you want and select it there.

nice set except for tuning broadcast stations.

Delivery was terrible. Tv came in late and at 9:30 pm. Also, the person delivering it was dragging it on the street since it wasnt something she was able to lift in her own. The tv itself is defective. It has a dark spot that I thought was a dirt mark on the screen. It seems to be some dead LED pixels in one spot by the center. I dont have a vehicle so its going to be a pain returning it added the fact that Im going to go without a tv if Im to wait for another to be shipped.
