It's a good product, in open spaces you won't notice how good it sounds, but when putting into a room, things changes. Given the multilink feature you can truly build your home stereo as you wish, i'm about to get 2 terrain minis so they highlight the high and mids and two terrain xl to give power to mids and lows

The Skullcandy Terrain XT is a surprisingly solid Bluetooth speaker for the price, especially if you want something loud, portable, and durable without spending premium JBL or Bose money. Right away, the biggest thing you notice is the bass — this speaker pushes out deep, punchy low-end sound that works really well for hip-hop, EDM, rock, and gaming audio. It gets loud enough for small gatherings, outdoor hangouts, or just filling a room with music.

One of the best features is the rugged design. The Terrain XT feels tough and built to survive everyday use, and the IPX7 waterproof rating means you don't really have to worry about rain, splashes, or taking it outside. The compact shape also makes it easy to throw into a backpack or carry around for trips, camping, or parties. Skullcandy also includes Multi-Link and True Wireless Stereo support, so you can pair multiple speakers together for a much larger sound setup.

Battery life is another strong point. The speaker can last around 14–18 hours depending on volume levels, which is more than enough for most full-day outings or long gaming sessions. Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity also helps keep the connection stable and quick to pair.

The sound quality overall is good, but not perfect. Bass is definitely the focus here, so mids and highs can sometimes feel less detailed compared to more expensive speakers. For the money, the Skullcandy Terrain XT is a great budget-friendly portable speaker. It's loud, bass-heavy, waterproof, and built for outdoor use. If you care most about fun sound, portability, and durability, it's an easy recommendation. If you want super detailed audio clarity or premium-level sound balance, you may want something higher-end.

We have used these speakers at a small group meeting to listen to an audio book. I tried playing it on my iPhone but we are all getting older and it wasn't loud enough. These speakers linked to my iPhone has worked fantastic. The battery life is amazing and the sound quality is great.

Old ears

Connects really with Bluetooth, sound is pretty good and it has a good lasting quality. I use it for Aqua class and hasn't died on me like some other brands have. Power level is really good inside and indoor pool does decent . Battery life last good amount of time.

This is a great speaker. It's rugged, small, great sound quality with fantastic battery life. My only complaint is it does not get as loud as I feel it should. I work construction, therefore I need it to be LOUD over all the other background noises, and this doesn't quite get it done. I still love it though

Great speaker. Needs to be Louder

It's a great speaker, however it's not as loud as other brands that have similar size, but this item is budget friendly and shouldn't wake up the neighbors.

Can get loud. Multi-link makes it great if you want stereo separation. Nice design and build feel. Bass doesn't really kick unless volume is cranked to 50% . This speaker is easy to use and move to any space to play music.

The speaker is really loud- which has pros of course but also the lowest setting can be too loud at times. I had to pause the music to hear people better. The actual quality of the sound was quite disappointing especially comparing my love for my other skullcandy products.. but it wasnt horrible. I will say I have charged this speaker once ever and I use it regularly so the battery life is a solid 10/10 at least!

It does its job

K, straight up , these things are crap. Bose or Jbl nake a better speaker. I purchased 2 of these to make a makeshift stereo for the apartment i occupy. No bass at all. The skullcandy app does nothing to alter the tember of the speaker. However,  these do make a hood Tv speaker and prefer them to the built in. Like the pairing option. Maybe i need more than 2 as you can connect 99 of these.

It had the same audio capabilities as my iPad, was expecting a little bit more bass since it's a skull candy and has passive radiators on the side, but nope.
