The only reason I took away a star is because they sent the wrong power cord with the product. Otherwise, I just used my PS5 power cord and she started right up. I started playing some Super Bust A Move and was having a blast. Thank you for this blast from my past.

Came very  quickly  but box is not  included  description should have  included that.  This was a gift so I specifically looked for  one with  a box other than that.  Very  happy  with  this product.   And yes cords are  included

Tested it out and initially the system worked fine with the PS2 game I selected. Turned it on a few days later and it's just going to the browser/system configuration screen. Disappointed that i might have to return this because I was looking forward to playing my old PS2 games :(

I am unhappy with the PlayStation two it was supposed to come in original box and it doesn't have a power cord. How am I supposed to answer the questions if I like the product if I can't even turn it on

Not Happy

This PS2 looked fine on the outside, but the inside  of the disc compartment had something that looked like nutmeg in it. I think it was mold or maybe rust. Either way, the console was inoperable. It would play the discs up until the menu screen, and then froze. It did this on 3 different pristine game discs before I looked closer at the inside and saw the nutmeg colored stuff. Also, the AV cord was a little difficult to plug into the playstation. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this seller, as there is no way they checked this console and thought it was in  "like new" condition. It isn't even operable.

Playstation did not work

Please be cautious when buying. The packaging was great and it was transferred from DHL to USPS which was odd. It would not read the disk at all. It would just say no disk found. This was a common issue when we had one way back then but really wanted to have another. It's a game of chance with all the reviews out there. We were able to return without issues and got a refund back. Good luck!

Does Not Work

The remote was sold with broken wires (in the part that is supposed to plug in the system) so the remote doesn't work. The cd doesn't close normal. Also the PlayStation glitches when u play.

This refurbished unit did not play any of the PS2 games we had.   

No scratches on the discs.   Had a weird “matrix” animation before PlayStation logo appeared

Item does not read discs. I purchased 5 games and neither would work. I was looking for a ps2 for years online to get the nostalgic feel and I'm highly disappointed. Especially for the price point. I really wish I could have another one sent to me that actually works.

Not working

the ps2 console's disc would not turn. I tried phoning Retro and got a foreigner who had horrible English , children making noise in the background and other background noises. Finally got him to get rid of some of the noise and his help was to tell me to email Retro. Did that and got a Sarah who has been giving me the run around for several days. I asked for a refund and attempting to carry out her instructions (which are complicated) as she keeps blaming me for not answering her questions ( which is not true).
