This is definitely “old School”. I have a great OXO chopper but it is too good and chops nuts too finely. This nut grater will chop in 2 different sizes. It is great for small batches. I use it for cookie recipes

my wike makes alot of Christmas cookies she had one similar but has a plastic lower catch jar this one is glass and she loves it

Love these and this is probably the 5 th one I've owned, not because they break- but because when someone comes to my house and we cook or bake they always say “OMG I need one of these” so I give it to them and order another.

Perfect

This works great. I was worried because I want to chop roasted almonds in it, which are pretty hard, and not very soft like say walnuts, but it worked fine. I'm very happy to put away the hammer and get evenly sized nut choppings for a change. Good buy.

Just what I wanted

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had one exactly like this in green years ago and misplaced it a couple of years ago.  I absolutely loved the fact it works without electricity.  I would recommend it most definitely!

Much better quality than the plastic one that was easily crushed in my drawer that I discarded. Love the glass jar. Would prefer embossed measurements on the side and glass or metal lid, but still very sturdy plastic. Reduced a star because one of the cutting tines scrapes against the opening when you grind.

Not perfect but better than most

Is not as sturdy as the older ones…definitely a cheaper version but still works..bought for church's kitchen so I didn't have to take mine older one

Disappointed in the main function to grind nut- meats
Though the glass jar and screw on lid are fine the blades were not aligned therefore catching as i tried to crank the grind function.  Big issue. 
I used my needlenose pliers to twist and reposition each small blade. Cranks smoothly now but still feel the grinding blades are poor quality especially for the price.

It's just not solid material except for the glass jar.  I'm very disappointed
