Great TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first OLED TV ever and I have to say this TV is completely mind blowing. I upgraded from an old LCD TV that was decent when it came out, but when I got this TV it made the older one look and feel like a dinosaur. I had heard many great things about OLED TV's from my family members that have it and this TV exceeded my expectations. The first thing I noticed immediately upon opening the box is how crazy THIN the actual TV is, I was honestly scared to even try picking it up but when I did it was surprisingly light and felt very sturdy, I obviously had my Mom help me pick it up because of its size. Setting up the TV was a breeze with the included instructions and only required attaching the stand with some screws. One thing that really caught my eye and amazed me is the design on the back of the TV that looks like its made of granite or some stone.

One of the many things that I really liked about the TV was the included magic remote that has the ability to control like a computer mouse with its pointer making it very easy to navigate the menus and whatnot. Another thing I really liked was how loud the TV gets even on low volume, that can be attributed to the AI sound pro mode which filled the room with sound as if I had a surround sound system. Now onto the main star of the show which is the actual picture quality and it does not disappoint one bit. Colors when watching 4K content on the TV are so vivid and lifelike that it immersed me in whatever I was watching. When watching movies that have Dolby Vision, it was a real delight because of how natural and real everything on screen looked. I also loved that the TV has all my favorite streaming apps so I have access to watching whatever I want with ease. It's hard to explain every amazing feature of this TV but I know full well that anyone that buys this TV is going to love it and I would recommend it to anyone.

LG always brings out the best. Blacks are inky deep, colors burst with vibrancy, and details are razor-sharp.  Its sleek, thin, and the picture quality is phenomenal for both movies and gaming thanks to its super-fast refresh rate. This is a top-tier OLED TV that excels in picture quality, design, and overall performance. I would recommend to friends and family. I am excited to find all the best 4K content to watch!

Shipping and packaging were great as well. Easy to move and install.

Just - WOW!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a graduate student, as soon as I get home, I turn on the TV and put something on in the background. My partner also watches a lot of TV and works from home, so having a TV we both enjoy was a must. When browsing, we knew we wanted something bright with vivid colors because our apartment gets a lot of glare from the sun since the new building across the street has full glass windows. The picture quality is spectacular. The screen is so big that when we play split-screen games like Mario Kart, it feels like everyone has their own screen haha. It can get bright when we’re watching movies with a lot of blast scenes at night, so we have to lower the brightness! We’re surprised that such an expensive display only comes with a 1-year warranty (G series comes with 5-year). We’re hoping it lasts us a little longer than that. All in all, this is an amazing TV! We probably won’t go to the movie theaters for a while! Review submitted as part of a program that provides a purchase discount.

A private theater experience!

There was a sharp intake of breath when the TV was delivered, its big! We was initially nervous about handling it and fitting on the wall - we needn't have been, it was super easy and not as heavy as anticipated - truly plug and play. Thought had also gone into the positions of the sockets in the rear, and the side for the HDI cables etc.... Easily accessible. Very minimum setup, plugged the TV in and updated the system and the apps. Time from unpacking disconnecting original TV to being sat down with the new TV fully setup watching our fantastic early Christmas present no more than 1.5 hours. The sound is superb, we found the sound better on the TV than our soundbar, the interface on the home screen is intuitive and easy to use, picture quality exceptional.

UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The unboxing experience was positive, it comes in an easily removed box/packaging and can be done by one person, although it would be easier with two.  Once out the box, my first impression was Wow!  The top 2 thirds of the screen are impossibly thin, and even on the lower third, where all the electronics and connections are, it doesn't get that much thicker.  Most of the connections are on the left-hand edge, with the power cable coming out on the right.

PICTURE QUALITY
This was amazing!  Being OLED, the blacks are inky black, but what amazed me was how bright it gets. I had heard OLEDs don't get very bright, but I was blown away.  While watching a 4k Blu-ray of Star Trek, the ships details were bright and clear, while the surrounding space was ultra dark.  After a bit of fiddling, I got the skin tone to be as accurate as looking at someone face-to-face.  I had to turn off most of the AI and Auto functions, as they made everything too vivid and over-saturated for my eyes, but once setup, I was so happy.  Motion is dealt with very too, with no blurring that I could see, so sports look great.  I have heard the screen is really good for PC and console gaming, but I haven't tried that.

SOUND
This was probably the weakest aspect of the TV.  For an LCD/OLED, it was actually impressive at first, but there's not much bass, although the sound is nicely balanced.  No amount of fiddling would let it sound anywhere near the quality of my fairly low-end Sony soundbar though, so I won't be using the in-built speakers

SMART FEATURES
This was another aspect that really impressed me.  The WebOS platform is quite mature now and the interface is quick and easy to use, with all the apps I need available.  The remote, while fairly plasticky, is a joy to use, with the gyro 'mouse' making navigating to apps much quicker than just scrolling left and right.  I have noticed no slow-down with the interface yet. In fact, I will probably be retiring my nVidia Shield and just using the TV from now on, which I was not expecting.

All-in-all, this is by far the best TV I have ever used, and I would recommenbd it to anyone.

A Superb OLED TV

This TV is amazing. Bought this as a monitor to get an OLED display with high refresh rate for my PS5 and MacBook Pro. The display clarity and color richness is stunning. Graphics look incredible, and even fonts for productivity purposes are impressively sharp. And it’s fun that it’s actually a TV, with all popular apps built in. Arguably one of the best displays out there.

It was quite a surprise when installing the tv. I expected Freeview to dominate but instead it was all about LG and I had to search for Freeview after installation. Each time I switch on I have to select a tile for “live tv” which is annoying as sometimes clicking this tile brings up the apps. If anyone can tell me how to get Freeview as my startup I would be more than happy.

Installation did not include Freeview.
