Got a radio in 2020 I am a roofer it has fallen off the roof over 50 times from 1 story up to a 4 story roof and still works it’s broken all over you can see inside the radio only one handle left and still works

Great radio

My wife bought me the radio for my birthday two years ago. I use it on job sites 5 - 6 days a week inside and out.  It is great to have a good sounding radio, that will run off a battery and charge my phone, can run off ac and rapid charge my batteries and also is Bluetooth. I’ve dropped it from around 6 feet multiple times. I even accidentally left in out overnight when it rained heavy all night. I had to open the whole thing to let it dry out for 3 days. That was a year ago and it still works perfect. The only negatives that I can think of are it is big and kinda heavy, the usb jack is in a tight space and the door for the storage area could be easier to open.  All in all, I am very happy with my Radio and it’s a valuable addition to my 20 volt arsenal.

Excellent Radio

Going back in time with the sound this radio puts out. The music quality is terrible for the size/price of this radio. How is this so much worse that the stack radio that got discontinued? Wild.

Terrible sound quality

I own the DCR06 job site speaker, and I prefer it to this. The DCR 025 has big sound, and I like being able to put my phone in the case, but that's all I like about it. If I have my phone with me I can't control the volume on the radio from my phone the way I did with the DCR 06. The clock adjustment is also broken on the DCR025. It's stuck wherever it is, currently it shows today's date as being in the year 2034, And the time is wrong.
The Bluetooth connection isn't as good as the DCR06 either. I lose it more frequently and I often can't connect without going through the settings on my phone.
I like DeWalt told, but this isn't what I was hoping it would be.

Good sound, bad functionality

I have had this radio for two years.  It worked fine until it stopped turning on entirely.  Pressing the power button flashes the screen momentarily but it does nothing else anymore.  It has lived on a garage shelf for the entire time.  Battery or AC power does not make a difference.  Very disappointing...

I had this for only 8 months and it just quit turning on.  the led for light is so dim you have to be a just the right angle to even see it.  Do not buy this radio if your want something to last more than a few months.  You cannot even tune the radio.. you must let the radio find a station... poor design and quality

Piece of junk

Had 3x new and 2x fixed from dewalt..
Aerial is in the wrong place..... everytime you want to charge your batteries you have move the flimsy thing... 
just keeps snapping..
On going problem with there rads.
Good rad apart from this, the new dcr029 has the aerial in a new place

Never been on a job site. Used maybe 2-4x per week. Sits in the garage in its dedicated area. Radio 2 years old just like my last one. Unit won’t power off and now is locked up. Have another warranty claim out Dewalt says it’s not a common issue yet both had had the same problem. For 250 I would look into other quality options.

Junk buy something else

Used this radio in my garage (not abused on a worksite), Now I can barely see the screen to read it. I tried replacing the "coin-sized battery" however I am still unable to read it. I love the rest of my DeWalt tools but for the money I spent on this radio it is absolute junk!
