After a few weeks of heavy use they have held up fine, no cracks, breaks or even noticeable wear. The stackable case is a nice feature as well, sockets are also very easy to remove from case instead of sitting too snug. Hoping they continue to live up to the Dewalt name and last indefinitely.

Solid Socket Set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set is so handy. Slides in my tool box and stays in the case than goes back to its case behind the truck seat and stays in place. Has all the larger sockets needed for changing blades. Putting on attachments. Changing tires. The 72 tooth ratchet helps in tight spots. And tough enough for the impact gun. Plus it's a great deal. Highly recommend.

A must have for everyone in lawn care or automotiv

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put it to the test in my impact gun till the grade 5 1/2” bolt snapped. Socket still looks new. I hope they don't start making the letting on the label smaller it's nice to look at the cases and quickly grab the one you want. I'm going to put my own label on it but I know it won't last as long as original.

The extended handle allowed me to break the bolts with ease and the high amount of teeth in the ratchet allowed me to get in more awkward positions ! Really solid set.

The smooth action ratchet is great in tight spots. I am glad I have added this to my tool collection.

Excellent socket set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sockets and ratchet are great and the stacking cases are extremely useful for knowing exactly what you need for a job ,but because of the finish when they get dirty is impossible to read the size and the sizes in the tray are difficult to read but overall worth the money

Great but could be a little better

Good quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Initial quality was great. I really like how it has a built in tray made for tool box storage. Busts through bolts like they're nothing. I really liked how it came with an impact adapter, made it worth getting the 1/2 in sockets. A great starter set especially for a DIY hobby mechanic. Only thing that I don't like about them is the laser engraving, I worry that over time the markings will get dirty or wear off. The wrench itself feels comfortable in the hand but I would much rather pair these with an impact and 5.0 battery.

Quick release ratchet with a 5 degree arc swing. Included in the kit is a ¼” male impact drill adapter and 6” extension.
This set was provided to me free of charge by Dewalt.
First impressions
The components are heavy and well made. The fit and finish of the black oxide sockets,  extension and drill adapter are good. The ratchet has a smooth black finish and the handle has several indentations on it. The storage tray is made out of a pliable plastic which does not appear to break or crack easily. The storage tray has four latches, two in the front and one on each side to keep it securely closed when not in use.
After using the set for a week on various minor tasks, I found that the black oxide on the sockets, extension and impact adapter is durable and doesn't scratch easily. The ratchet, on the other hand, has a smooth shiny black finish. Unfortunately,  the finish is not durable. Right out of the box the ratchet finish was worn off in several spots on the handle. I lightly rubbed the ratchet head against a hard surface and it went right through to the base metal. The indentations on the handle, while smooth are not comfortable in the hand. I can see them collecting grease and dirt too.
The set will perform up to expectations for removing and installing nuts and bolts. The 5 degree arc swing, 72 tooth mechanism and quick release on the ratchet make it easy to use. The added bonus of the impact driver means that this set is ready to go with no added cost.  The ratchet finish will not last very long and that is a disappointment to an otherwise good socket set.  As is, I don't recommend this particular set. Once Dewalt fixes the rachet finish it will be worth purchasing.
