I have a 20+ yr old pro heat X's 2 bissell that was definitely a heavier machine. It cleaned but you'd have to disassemble to clean but carpets were pretty dry. 

My new evolution pet machine which also has the steam like the pro heat X2 but is much lighter machine. 
People complain about wet carpets on the steam/clean option vs Dry or no steam. 
Gotta be honest want clean carpets use the steam option as dry doesn't dispense any real solution which is why your carpets will be pretty dry. 

The minor issue is the front of the machine is extremely very light so that suction isn't nearly as good as my 20 yr old pro heat X2 

My first clean carpet are definitely a lot cleaner with 20 yr old carpet almost like new!! 
But it was left wet. 
I always water rinse and I then reached open with my hand and pushed forward I noticed a lot more water extraction. 
The machine definitely extracts better in the forward position vs back and by pushing down on the front of the machine my carpets are as dry as the old pro heat. 

I may look into devising some sort of weight to add so I won't have to bend over or use my foot. 

Other positives. 
WAY EASIER TO CLEAN i bought the whole package that tray is worth it. 
Doesn't hold a lot of dirty water but its way easier to use and dump. 
Picks up hair but doesn't clog and so easy to just wipe away. 
Brushes are so easy to clean and the cleaning tray works awesome. 
My machine is extremely very clean after my first cleaning. 
Carpets are amazingly a lot cleaner!

We foster dogs and sometimes have up to eight in the house, so our carpet cleaner gets used a lot. I upgraded to this Bissell from a smaller model because I needed something with more cleaning power, a larger tank capacity, and better deep-cleaning performance. This cleaner delivers on all of that. It is a little heavier than my old one, but the extra weight is worth it for the cleaning results. I usually use it once or twice a week, and it has handled the job really well.

Amazing for pet houses.

I received my Bissell Revolution Hydrosteam Pet cleaner.  During assembly, I had a little difficulty having the handle click in place. It is a “have to do” in order for the cleaner to operate.  Don’t move forward till it clicks in place. I used it immediately to spot clean a few pet stains. IT WORKS! I then followed directions on how to clean the unit. IT WAS EASY! My homework: review the speed up drying process. I was in such a hurry to use it; I skipped reading this section in instruction guide.  In summary, I am very happy with purchase.

Happy So Far

It's amazing to have it at home — it makes everything much easier and more convenient. The only downside is that I find it slightly heavy; otherwise, it's a very professional and high-quality machine

suction is not good i can go over the carpet 10 or even 20 time and it's still wet for 24 hrs , way too much detergent is suggested  cut in half or less go over cleaned area with hot water and see how much soap is left , otherwise it's better than my old Bissel cleaner also a pain to clean the machine , it doe's clean the carpet

Not as good as expected. Based on the price and specifications, I had very high hopes for this vacuum mop. Unfortunately, it struggles to remove stubborn and old stains and seems to work well only on fresh stains and spills. The drying function is also quite inefficient. When using steam to mop and then trying to dry without steam, a lot of liquid remains and it takes a very long time to dry. The biggest issue is the drying mechanism. It is seems to create a vacuum to suck up the water, but the suction frequently breaks, so the water is not collected effectively. Collects cat hairs nicely. Does a good job, but not efficient and versatile and advertised. For the price i expect more.

Good for Fresh Stains Drying Performance Is Poor

I bought this due to the steamer but since using this product it doesn't pick up the water in the carpet very well going to have to return it made a small pee stain into a big mess

Not that great

Just bought this Steam pet bundle a few weeks ago and wanted to use it today.  It howls!!!  I had a Bissel carpet cleaner before but this is like a jet plane.  Through trial and error I found the dirty water lid to container did not have a good seal.  Eventually it snapped tight, the suction was there and it ran quiet.  Well, I emptied the dirty water and filled the clean water and the same thing!  Once it works and seals it is good.  But I'm not going to go deaf using this.  Waiting for a replacement lid (available) and dirty water canister (backorder - hmmm, i wonder why?)  We shall see....   Should be one star but gave two stars because once it goes quiet, it is a good machine.

Screaming noisy

The device didn't work right out of the box. We deliberately picked a model with a cord and less bells and whistles to minimize the number of things that could go wrong. Unfortunately, this one failed to spray the clean water onto the roller (despite all the recommended troubleshooting steps). Bissell was good at arranging for a replacement under warranty, so we'll see what happens.  At this point, we have no idea how it cleans.

Not working out of the box

Very disappointed on the design because the vacuum casing on each side on the roller are rubbing against the floor, leaving marks and preventing the roller from touching the floor more than just a little.  I return it.
