Setup takes less than 10 minutes following directions.

Can be strong for some tasks, but underpowered for others.

I replaced the pump that came w my 1976 gallon, above-ground pool w this new one.  It filters 1000 gallons an hour, which ensures my pool is super filtered daily.  the timer is automated so that whatever you set it on continues daily.  I turn my on in the morning, so every morning without fail, my pump is working without me having to turn it on daily.  I dod have to change out some hoses to fit the new pump, and this pump came with all the retro fit equip that I needed.

I highly recommend this product for the price snd specifications for above ground pools.

Wow this filter is powerful! I replaced a filter I bought from a online store in china. It barely had any power. This one here practically turned my pool into a bubbling spa. Made my pool crystal clear. Still powerful one week in.....I'm very pleased!

Powerful and effective

I purchased this for a friend.  They said it is working great.  It's cool, but kinda strange that Walmart sells this pump and accompanying cartridges, but they don't sell the pool that it goes with (the pool was purchased at Target, and Target doesn't sell these replacement parts).  Strange.  These were shipped site-to-store and arrive in just a few days.  Thank you, Walmart!

Intex 1000 GPH Pool Filter Pump

Overall a good  filter. I just have to change the filter media too often. buying a sand filter to replace this one.

We had this same pump that came with the pool, which worked great for 2 summers. This is a replacement for summer %23 3...a good buy. You don't need to drain the pool just hold the pump above the water level, and swap it out. So easy!

it was easy to order on-line and came within 4 days, when it was promised to be a week.  the pump works fine.  it is exactly like the pump that came with the pool originally.  this is the  3rd pump I have had to buy in 6 years, but I run the pump 24 hrs/7 days a week for the 4  1/2 month summer season.  so I don't think it is too bad.

The pump was delived on time.  The seal on top was damaged out of the box. Luckly I had an xtra in the garage( same gasket). After installation I noticed that it was leaking from the top. I needed the pump so bad I didn t have time to return it. It looks like it was missing another gasket from top. I finally stopped the leak. The pump works well otherwise.

It works but

The pump was working great for a month and now it won't stay on at all, runs a couple of seconds and turns off.

This is my 3rd season with my Intex pool which came with the same pump I am reviewing, however, the pump quit so I ordered this pump I am reviewing , in fact I have purchased 3 of these pumps which apparently only last 3 months or so! I purchased this one on March 12 and it is June 15 and it has quit working! You decide if you want this pump!

Pool pump!

Pump worked for about a week very disappointed. It has decent power for a 10 foot round pool but stop working very quickly now I have to see about returning it and getting another one. I will probably take it to the store to return it.
