Formed in Amsterdam in early-1986, DONOR started playing shows even prior to their debut six-song demo of thrash-leaning heavy metal in 1988. Core members Jelle Bakker (guitar), Cees van Petten (bass), and Toni van Petten (drums) then brought in guitarist Bart Vreken and vocalist Ard van Bers to solidify the lineup prior to contributing two exclusive tracks to the Metal in Rocks Volume II compilation in 1989; followed by the seven-song Inexplicable Knowledge demo in 1990. 1992 would then see the release of the increasingly taut and crunchy full-length, Triangle of the Lost, through Mausoleum Records.
Unsatisfied with shifts in DONOR's musical direction, frontman Ard van Bers decided to exit the band during the summer of 1993. Enter newcomer Richard Dijkman, a perfect fit for the group's evolving sound, which fused subtly progressive thrash roots with a mid-paced, grunge-inflected tonality fitting of the time period. Despite adapting with the industry, however, DONOR was unable to settle into a proper footing amidst the scene-a struggle common for so many metal acts during the mid-'90s-and decided to call it a day before the end of 1995.
Nearly 30 years later, Divebomb Records is pleased to reissue Release for the very first time. Completely remastered by Jamie King Audio, this deluxe edition CD adds to the 10-song album six bonus tracks-amongst them several rare live recordings such as an early version of "Release" (called "Derailed" at the time) with Ard on vocals, and an Ard/Richard duet on "When the Valkyries Ride" from 1995-packaged with a 16-page booklet loaded with photos, lyrics, and a retrospective interview with the band. Around 1984, guitarist Jon Nelson and drummer Amery Smith parted ways with SUICIDAL TENDENCIES to form the band that would eventually become 
THE BROOD. At that time, the lineup also included NO MERCY guitarist Mike Clark, and the project was operating under the name of SCREAMING FETUS. Having heard an early demo, photographer and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES manager/producer Glen E. Friedman expressed interest, but requested a name change. The group settled on THE BROOD before bringing in former NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH bassist John Flitcraft and replacing Clark with future UNCLE SLAM lead Todd Moyer.
Friedman hooked up a deal with Profile Records, and the quartet entered Perspective Sound in Sun Valley, CA to record their lone self-titled full-length-for which the legendary Pushead designed the band's logo. THE BROOD's debut added a unique edge to the Venice hardcore/punk/metal sound through compositions that were slightly longer and more subtly involved in terms of melody and musicianship, thus cementing it's now-classic status amidst this much-lauded niche of the genre.
Disagreements between the band and management/label surfaced during the recording, and only intensified throughout a well-received tour with SAINT VITUS before an album was even available to promote. Smith and Moyer eventually left after the album's release in 1986, leaving Nelson and Flitcraft to continue with a new drummer. Plans continued taking shape for a second album with Profile, but with Nelson still sour from the setbacks surrounding the first release, he decided to walk away-feeling that the true vision for the band's sound and direction would not be properly represented nor supported.
More than 35 years later, Divebomb Records is ecstatic to finally reissue 
THE BROOD's cult classic from the Venice heyday. Restored and remastered by Jamie King Audio for superior sound, the 12-song CD will be packaged alongside 
a 24-page booklet including photos, flyers, lyrics, and an extensive retrospective interview with Jon Nelson. For the fans, by the fans!

The Brood

The musical partnership between vocalist Shawn Pelata and guitarist Brian "Hellstorm" Williams dates back to 1999, when Brian contacted Shawn with the hope of recruiting him to sing for a new project he was putting together. That short-lived endeavor became K-OctavE-yielding a single, highly praised album, Outer Limits, issued in 2001. Williams then continued with his main band, underground metal giants October 31; while Peleta released two albums with melodic rock outfit Line Of Fire, as well as working with metalcore cultists KillWhitneyDead. The two kept in touch, vowing to one day work together again when the time was right. That time is now. An unstoppable riff machine (he's not called "Hellstorm" for nothing), Brian soon found himself with new players, and eight new songs in need of the right voice. He knew just who to call: Shawn was brought on board and-alongside Kevin Haverlah (drums) and Howard Baker (bass)-Final Sign was born. Divebomb Records is proud to present the debut album from Final Sign, Hold High The Flame, upon the heavy metal faithful. It's a ravenous blend of US power metal, thrash and old school heavy metal-executed with unbridled anger and intensity!

Hailing from Philadelphia, PA, Shadowdance was formed in the late-'90s by guitarist/songwriter Carlos Alvarez with Jason Fraticelli (drums), Brad Pondish (bass), and George Eliassen (vocals) to craft a timeless brand of powerful metal infused with progressive and atmospheric elements. Crushing riffs, blinding speeds, exotic textures, and classical melodies are only a few of the tools utilized. Always pushing boundaries, Shadowdance deftly takes this core and twists in subtle hints of everything from black metal and old school thrash to '70s-styled hard rock. A truly seamless blend of heaviness and aggression, speed and epic bombast-and nowhere is this more evident than on their multifaceted debut recording, Ageless, which was originally released in 2000 to international critical acclaim.
Featuring 11 songs in just under an hour, Ageless is a musical journey exploring the light and dark in us all, effortlessly shifting gears from the catchy mid-tempo groove and commercial appeal 
of "Gilded Cage," the gargantuan-riffed but grandiose and uplifting title track, to the furious-but-focused power thrash of "Hollow," and finally the epic nine-minute closer "Forever"-the ending of which propels the listener through eternity at breakneck speeds. Showcasing Shadowdance at their best, expressing powerful songs with incredibly memorable melodies, every composition is masterfully imbued with it's own personality and flair. No two songs sound alike, yet there is a common stylistic edge that links them. Lyrically, they weave intricate stories based on the duality of life-stories that anyone can relate to.
Ageless is a re-envisioned presentation of the original self-released edition from 2000. Re-recorded almost entirely from the ground up (only the original drum tracks and some keyboards were retained), guitars, bass, and most importantly lead vocals-the 2000 recordings had to make use of a last-minute session vocalist-have been completely redone. At last featuring the originally intended singer, George Eliassen, whose undeniable talents expertly project the wide range of emotions that Shadowdance's music represents. The album also features a number of notable guest performers, including John Yelland (JUDICATOR, DIRE PERIL), Jon Phipps 
(Moonspell, Angra, Amorphis), Tony Sannicandro (Job for a Cowboy), and Matt Hodsdon (Chaos Frame, Noble Beast), amongst others. With a brand new mix by Alvarez, stunning mastering by Brett Caldas-Lima (AYREON, DEVIN TOWNSEND, CYNIC, etc.) at Tower Studio, and even all-new artwork, Ageless has finally achieved it's true form-how it was meant to be experienced all those years ago

In early-1992, DONOR returned to the studio to record five more songs, which combined with five selections from the Inexplicable Knowledge demo to form the group's debut full-length, Triangle of the Lost. The material's increasingly taut and crunchy thrash metal direction gained enough of a buzz to quickly secure a deal with Mausoleum Records. Well-received by the scene upon 
it's release, the album was supported by tours alongside acts as diverse as NUCLEAR ASSAULT, D.R.I., and PSYCHOTIC WALTZ. However, this would turn out to be DONOR's only album with this particular lineup, as frontman Ard van Bers decided to exit the band during the summer of 1993, unsatisfied with shifts in the musical direction.
Over 30 years later, Divebomb Records is excited to reissue Triangle of the Lost for the very first time. Completely remastered by Jamie King Audio, this deluxe edition CD puts the album in proper running order (per band's request) and adds to the 10-song album six bonus tracks-two from Inexplicable Knowledge, two from Metal in Rocks Volume II, and two live non-album recordings from 1993-packaged with a 16-page booklet loaded with photos, flyers, and a retrospective interview with the band.
